On Windows Cursor requires admin privileges to run commands

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When using Cursor IDE in Windows commands will frequently hang or fail to complete.

A workaround suggested on the forums is to run Cursor as admin, which is a serious security risk.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load cursor in Windows with standard user privileges.
  2. Ask it to run the command “git branch”.

Expected: A list of git branches is available to Cursor
Actual: The command fails to complete

Expected Behavior

I expect Cursor to be able to run CLI commands and view their output.
