"Open Chat" keyboard shortcut no longer works

Describe the Bug

The “Open Chat” keyboard shortcut does not work anymore. I’m not sure what the default is, but mine is bound to ⌘+I

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Cursor
  2. Press your “Open Chat” keyboard shortcut

Expected Behavior

Chat opens or focuses when the “Open Chat” keyboard shortcut is used.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. It seems to be a regression in version 2.2.20 related to the new Agent feature.

A few questions for diagnosis:

  1. Can you check Cursor Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts and find “Open Chat in Agent Mode” - are there any conflicts with other commands?
  2. If you open CMD+Shift+P and manually enter “Open Chat in Agent Mode” - does the command work?
