Opening multiple projects at the same time

I’d like to open several projects in different windows. I currently accomplish this by using the command line, eg cursor <path/to/project>. Is there a way to do this from the GUI?

Is there a disadvantage to opening multiple projects, ie was this prevented on purpose?

You will need to click the File menu (locations depends on your OS). Then you can open a new window by clicking on “New Window”.

Another way to do this is to use the “Shift + Command + N” (“Shift + Control + N” for windows) hotkey

Omg :man_facepalming:

thank you!!

Hi there, I like doing the same thing however I want to know if it’s possible to have specific prompts per project. I thought I was able to do it as a sauna YouTube video however I can no longer locate how to do that.

Cursor has past memories and will use them in the creation or assessment of new tasks!!! One way to bypass this is by asking the LLM to ignore all previous memories, but the efficiency of this approach depends on the LLM. Be very careful.

How the heck do you access the menu in Cursor 1.7.54 on Ubuntu!? I’m not blind but I can’t see the menu bar anywhere.

I ran the “View: Toggle Menu bar” command but that didn’t show the menu bar, only this tooltip:

But pressing the Alt key doesn’t bring up anything.
