Option to configure "Fix in Chat" default

The most recent Cursor updates made “Agent” the default when the user chooses “Fix in Chat,” even if the current mode is “Chat.”

Can you add a setting to configure the default behavior of “Fix in Chat,” enabling us to use the current chat mode instead of automatically switching to “Agent” mode?

Yes! I have Ask set, then when i click “Fix in Chat” in the editor, i would expect to stay in Ask and not have it switch to Agent and takeover my workflow.

It makes no sense that “Fix in chat” doesn’t use the default mode we’ve chosen in settings. Now I have to manually copy error messages into the chat.

I don’t want to use Agent because it will do follow up changes to botched responses. In Ask mode I can avoid this by providing input between each response.
