Outlook plugin – create_draft attachments capped at 1 MB, UploadFile tool not available

Describe the request

Hello,

I use the Cursor Outlook plugin (Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online) to prepare email drafts with attachments. I never send from Cursor; I review and send myself from Outlook.

Problem:

  • create_draft only accepts attachments up to 1 MB in total.
  • The tool description says that for larger files I should use the UploadFile tool with destination.draftId.
  • UploadFile is not available in my Cursor session (Cursor desktop, macOS 27.0.1), so any PDF over 1 MB (invoices, signed orders, scans) cannot be attached to a draft.

Microsoft Graph supports up to 3 MB in a single request and up to 150 MB through an upload session, so the 1 MB cap comes from the plugin, not from Microsoft.

Request:

  1. Enable UploadFile (or an equivalent upload-session tool) for the Outlook plugin, limited to attaching files to an existing draft.
  2. Or raise the create_draft cap to the 3 MB that Graph allows in one request.

I do not need any send capability: attaching to a draft is enough.
