Persistent Network Connection Issues with Slow Requests Mode - Urgent Help Needed

Problem Overview

My Cursor account has been experiencing persistent network connection issues when switching to slow requests mode after exhausting the 500 fast request quota, making it unusable.

Detailed Information

Basic Information

  • Operating System: macOS 15.3.1 (M2 Pro)
  • Cursor Version: 0.50.10
  • Issue Start Time: May 30, 2025, 5:00 AM Beijing Time
  • Request ID: f4d0ec0b-6b86-47b0-bbca-d1643501f0f8

Problem Description

  1. After fast request quota exhausted, only slow requests mode is available
  2. When sending requests: Interface keeps loading indefinitely, eventually reporting network connection issues
  3. Attempt Timeline:
    • May 30, 5:00 AM: Issue first appeared
    • May 30, 5:00 PM: Issue persists
    • May 31, 3:00 PM: Issue continues

Attempted Solutions

:white_check_mark: Network Environment Verification:

  • Can normally access X, YouTube, and other social media platforms
  • Cursor worked normally before this issue
  • Network connection is stable

:white_check_mark: Technical Attempts:

  • Tried multiple network modes: HTTP/2, HTTP/1.1, HTTP/1.0
  • Cursor’s built-in network check shows Agent and other services connect normally
  • Searched for cursor.general.disableHttp2 setting but couldn’t find it (possibly due to version differences)

:white_check_mark: Official Contact:

  • Contacted [email protected] multiple times
  • Followed official suggestions but problem remains unresolved

Important Findings

:warning: This is not an isolated case: My friends are also experiencing the same issue. When paid quota reaches the limit, slow requests tend to have:

  • Network connection problems
  • Extremely slow response times
  • Complete inability to function properly
