Describe the Bug
I primarily use Grok 4.6, and the Agent frequently gets stuck on “Taking longer than expected.”
Reloading Cursor does not reliably fix the issue. Sometimes the conversation eventually continues after waiting or retrying, but responses remain extremely slow. In one case, a single working session took around 3 hours because of repeated delays.
I also tested other models, but the same issue still occurs.
Network Diagnostics currently passes all checks, including Chat and Agent, but the actual Agent experience remains very slow and frequently gets stuck.
At this point, the issue is significantly disrupting my work and making Cursor difficult to use.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Cursor IDE.
Start a new Agent chat.
Send a normal prompt or coding request.
The Agent frequently gets stuck on “Taking longer than expected.”
Reload Cursor and try again.
The issue often persists.
Switch to another model and retry.
The same behavior can still occur.

I use both window and mac.
I don’t use both devices at the same time, but I had trouble with this issue on both devices.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue
