Since planning mode launched, I use it for almost anything I need to do with a decent complexity level. However, sometimes I find myself overwhelmed with the information, and I need to zoom in to a specific point in the plan to understand it a little more deeply before I approve that to build.
Sometimes, it’s the opposite, I understand the smaller aspects, but I want to get a more summarized and concise view of the plan before approving it.
If I had to design this experience, I would add either a branch feature which picks out one step of the plan and creates a new plan around that one item, broken down into smaller steps, and have the ability to reference multiple plans in one chat to combine them into a master plan.
While trying to prompt for this behavior, I got Cursor to crash because (I think) it couldn’t figure out which version of the plan to follow.
Would love to hear some workarounds on how the community is managing this kind of planning complexity. Thanks!
