With the latest update to Cursor 3.11.13, the context/token usage percentage has been removed from the bottom status bar and is now only visible when hovering over it.
This was a very useful piece of information to have permanently visible. It allowed me to check the current context usage at a glance and decide whether to continue the conversation, compact it, or start a new one. Requiring a mouse hover every time adds unnecessary friction, especially for something that needs to be checked frequently during longer sessions.
Please consider restoring the always-visible percentage. At the very least, add a checkbox in the settings so users can choose whether to display it permanently in the status bar.
The previous behaviour was much more practical, and this change introduced in the latest update feels like a clear usability regression.
