At some point in the recent past… the UI started changing the focus to finished Agent chats automatically.

This is super annoying. Use case:

  1. I launch an agent to execute a plan.
  2. I open another session and begin typing my prompt for the next thing I want done.
  3. The first agent finishes and focus is automatically switched to that agent chat panel right in the middle of me typing the new prompt!

Please do not switch focus for me automatically.

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue. When multiple sessions are running in parallel, focus can sometimes jump to an agent that just finished while you’re typing in another session. We’re tracking it.

We’ve already fixed some cases one by one (plans, terminal, worktrees), but the specific scenario “agent finishes then steals focus from another agent’s input” is still reproducible. I can’t share a timeline for the remaining case yet.

I’m merging the discussion into a single thread to keep everything in one place. The main thread is here: An agent finishing shouldn't silently change active window. I’ll post there when there’s an update.
