Plz save korean, IME Input Breaks Terminal Cursor – Switching Language Spews Garbage Text 🔥

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Whenever I switch input mode (Han/Eng toggle, IME on/off) in the cursor terminal, completely random and unwanted characters instantly appear.
It doesn’t matter what I’m doing — just flipping the input language is enough to corrupt the terminal with garbage text. This makes the editor/terminal borderline unusable for anyone using IME (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc.).

Steps to Reproduce

1.	Open cursor terminal.
2.	Switch input mode (e.g., press Han/Eng or Alt+Shift).
3.	Try typing anything.
4.	Observe that nonsense characters appear out of nowhere.

Expected Behavior

Switching language/IME should not write ANYTHING into the terminal until the user actually types.
The terminal should remain clean and unaffected by IME toggling.

nothing

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Fixing just this one issue would probably double my productivity.

Could you copy/paste the bad terminal content including the characters you want filtered out?

I rewrote it like the attached video. Thank you.

If you hire me at Cursor, I’ll take care of anything related to Korea myself, haha.

Sir, did you by any chance fix it for me? Suddenly the cursor issue is gone. On behalf of 50 million Koreans, I want to thank you. And since this probably fixed things for Japanese and Chinese as well, let me also thank you on their behalf.
