Pro account can no longer manually select Claude Opus 4.6 (previously available)

Describe the Bug

Hi Cursor team,

I’m on the Pro plan ($20/mo). I was previously able to manually select Claude Opus 4.6 (and other specific Claude/GPT models), but that option is no longer available.

Current behavior:

  1. In Settings → Models, searching claude-4.6-opus returns No models available
  2. The chat model picker only shows a limited set (Auto / Premium / Composer, etc.)
  3. Billing/Usage indicates my included quota is not exhausted (e.g. around 34% used)

What I already tried:

  • Restarted Cursor
  • Refreshed the Models list
  • Confirmed I’m logged into the same Pro account

Expected behavior:

  • Restore manual selection for Claude Opus 4.6 (or the previously visible model set), or
  • Clarify why this account’s model catalog is currently restricted (feature flag / region / account policy)

Steps to Reproduce

This issue is reproducible and blocks my normal workflow because I specifically need deterministic model selection instead of Auto routing.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, this is a known issue in 3.1.14. The model picker is broken for many users.

Workaround: roll back to 3.0.16. Model selection works fine there. More details and discussion in the main thread: No way to select a model in "New Agent" in 3.1.14

The team is aware. Let me know if rolling back doesn’t help.
