On my settings dashboard, I see that I’m on the Pro plan ($20/month), which includes 500 fast requests.
The description for fast requests is: “GPT-4, GPT-4o, and Claude 3.5 Sonnet (Claude 3.5 Haiku counts as 1/3 of a premium request). You may also use unlimited slow requests, which may be slower during high demand.”
What about other models, such as gpt-4.5-preview? Is it included in the 500 fast requests?
I understand that gpt-4.5-preview costs $2 per request. If I still have remaining fast requests, do I still have to pay $2 per request for gpt-4.5-preview?
I think following thread covers this pretty well with many questions answered related to different models or modes like MAX. Have a look at the Docu links listed there or at docu itself on Models page.
in short: yes because 4.5 preview is a more costly model that OpenAI charges higher and therefore is a separate tier if someone has the need and the right task for this type of model. Cursor provides it as Usage Based only as its cost is not comparable to regular already well working premium models.
Let me know if this helped or if more info is needed.
Based on my usage observation, most of the models are now included within 500 quick requests, with only a few exceptions. Previously, deepseek r1 did not fall into this category, but now it does.
Also the Docu works with simple Ai questions from the search box on top. Its not a high end model (llama) but for regular info search of keywords that are in docu it works.
