I asked in pure chatgpt exact same question I asked the cursor in Ask mode for the same models. I provided only 1 file as a context to both. Guess what, pure chatgpt gave me a better response to the issue. WHY? Is the cursor adding some unwanted context for it that makes it respond worse?
