Python Terminal sometimes loops forever

Describe the Bug

Sometimes when I click Cursor’s Play button, instead of running the selected file it just loops the terminal forever until I force close it.

It’s not consistent though, usually it doesn’t happen. But when it does it completely makes the terminal unusable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enter any Python file
  2. Click the Play butotn

Expected Behavior

It should start the file.

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.1.3
VSCode Version: 1.96.2

Additional Information

Closing Cursor completely usually helps but only after about 2 restarts.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Still happening in v1.4.3 (VSCode v1.99.3), and makes the terminal unusable.
It usually gets fixed after a few attempts.

I realize it may be a VS Code bug,@deanrie, but I use and pay for Cursor.

Thanks for the report, can you check if this happens on the latest Cursor version?
