Qwen3-235B-A22B-Instruct and Minimax-M1

Do I remember wrong, or doesn’t using openrouter completely nuke all your other Cursor model settings?

Definitely not going to bother messing around with it again, in any case. Request seconded!

do we have any news about this ? we’ve waited a while now for Qwen3 and GLM4.5 @condor There are more votes for these models than were for Kimi-K2 which I believe not a lot of people use given its broken performance on Cursor.

Now it is even more imperative to add these models given the bugs on using gemini-2.5-pro and the limited capabilities of gpt-5 in Cursor (although it got better, it is still not all what the model was advertised to be). Claude models simply get too expensive on large tasks and codebases, and that 2x pricing on Sonnet 1M past 200k tokens makes no sense at all.

We recognize your efforts in adding new models such as grok code - but the community’s requests must be listened to. We want Qwen3 (Coder, and possibly Instruct as well) and GLM4.5.

Not yet, we are quite busy with work so this has not progressed yet.

Hi condor,

Any updates so far? It is sad to see that the Cursor team voids such a capable model for more than a month.

hi @Aleksandr_Salynskii while we wish to add more models, we have at this time higher priorities and are working on improvements and new features for Cursor.

Once we have news for this model we will announce it.

Maybe you can try GLM4.5 on Claude Code, using in CLI is ok to open it in Cursor, and it’s on sale now, 20CNY or 3USD a month, with a limited rate that you cannot reach. Buy it from BigModel and follow the instruction to replace the default setting in Claude Code. You will thank me if you try it, I think it’s very cheap.

Out of open feature threads, this threat has one of the most upvotes. But still no response from the cursor team. The model is good, and a low cost alternative which is good for users who want to stick to the 20 dollar per month subscription plan.

@condor , @cursorteam

@Fahad_Mubeen thank you for your feedback. The AI model scene is moving very fast, so at the moment we do not have an update for those models.

Have you tried them for coding?

@condor Yup, I tried Qwen3-Coder on windsurf by taking a 14 day trial. It was good and at par with Claud Sonnet-4. I tried it for Embedded System and Linux development in C.

Cursor is my go to IDE would love to have it here. And thanks for responding.

I would also like to see Qwen3 - coder added. Not sure why it would be excluded. It’s a very cost effective solution.

I would also like to see Qwen3 too

I urgently need Qwen3 Max :smiling_face_with_tear:
