Recently, this error has been frequently reported, and it’s unclear from which minor version it started.

Hey, thanks for the report. Could you please share:

  • Your Cursor version (Help > About)
  • Your Stylelint extension version
  • Whether this issue also happens in VS Code

In the meantime, you can try:

  • Disable the Stylelint extension, uninstall it completely, then reinstall it
  • Check the postcss version in your project since there might be a version conflict

It’d also help to check if there’s any circular reference in your CSS or Stylelint config. A stack overflow in toJSON is usually related to circular dependencies.

I now get this error in every project, since the last week

Changing stylelint extension version to 1.6.0 resolved it
