Red highlight on macOS on non-zero exited commands Inbox

I have been using Cursor for a few months on PC and now starting to use it on macOS, i have been having this issue driving me mad. I can’t find any solution on the forums or anywhere else on the internet.

Basically my issue is that on a Macbook (not on my Windows 10 PC), on non-zero exited commands i get this red alert highlight on my terminal (zsh). I have searched through all possible settings on the app and had no luck in fixing the issue.

This happens on all integrated terminal only inside cursor, bash, zsh and javascript debug terminal, no behavior like this is seen in external terminals.

This is vanilla version, I just installed it.

I got suggested the following possible fixes from support but had no luck.

Has anyone else encountered this issue on Mac and has fixed it?

Try updating Cursor? I’m on 45.11

Sorry, not sure how to fix it other than what support said.

I don’t see it on my Mac. I use https://ohmyz.sh/ , not sure if that affects this in any way.

Thank for you answer sanjeed, this was an older posting that i now reposted, thus the older Cursor version photo, I am currently on 0.45.11 as well.

I think the issue is more of a VSCode customization one, as this doesn’t only happen on zsh but in all integrated terminals.

oh got it,

do you want to try resetting the vs code preferences?

Weirdly enough this issue arose in the out of the box version as well, thus I think resetting the preferences will not fix it
