Have a pro subscription. Why is it unusually difficult to find the total costs for a selected usage period and remaining monthly budget in the Cursor dashboard?
* Usage - provides a table of token usage for a given period, but no overall total cost for the table data. Am I expected to add these up manually, why is there no total cost at the bottom of the table?*
* Spending - The tab you assume would have the information about your budget just shows a toggle for on-demand usage?
Im trying to determine my usage so I can decide what plan would be best come renew time. Someone point me in the right direction?
Hey, thanks for the detailed breakdown. I’ll reply point by point.
The Usage page for Pro is token-based now, so there’s intentionally no USD total at the bottom of the table. Everything marked Included is covered by your subscription at no extra cost, which is why there’s no total cost shown.
If you need a total for a specific period, set the date range on the Usage page and click Export CSV, then sum the Cost column. The range is in UTC, so if you align it with the start and end of your billing cycle, you’ll get a clean number for that cycle.
For your remaining monthly limit, check the included-usage percentage in the dashboard summary. That percentage is what determines when the included part of your plan runs out, not the dollar values in the table. Since on-demand is turned off, your actual bill is just the fixed Pro price, no matter what the table shows.
For picking a plan at renew, if that included percentage regularly hits 100% before the cycle ends, that’s a signal to look at Pro+ or Ultra.
Your point about wanting to see a period total and remaining allowance directly in the UI without CSV makes sense, I passed it to the team as feedback. Similar discussion here: Usage Page $$ to Token Amount? WHAT?. Let me know if anything’s still unclear.
