Remote-SSH hangs on startup

Describe the Bug

My remote linux host worked fine for remote-ssh previously, today it always hangs on startup connecting.
PS: VSCode works fine.

Steps to Reproduce

• In Remote Explorer, connect the remote host I configured previously
• It hangs on startup connecting no matter how long I wait.
• From the output log, it shows “> Downloading with wget” and no further output

Expected Behavior

Cursor can complete configuration shortly and connect to remote linux host as working environment.

Thanks for reporting this. Since your Cursor version (1.4.3) is older than the current version (1.5.5), please update first and retest.

For the wget timeout issue, I need to clarify which Remote-SSH extension you’re using:

• Check Extensions view and search “Remote-SSH”
• If you see Microsoft’s “Remote-SSH” extension, please install Anysphere Remote SSH instead
• If you’re already using Anysphere Remote SSH, the timeout might be network-related

Please let us know if this still happens after these steps.
