Repro: any chat under Home hangs; named-folder chats open fine

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Recently ( after I updated to cursor 3.1.17 + installed Claude Cowork), I noticed that when I am in the ‘Agents window’ , I see multiple “home” sections and a couple named workspace sections in the sidebar. When I try to load an agent from the home section, the load never completes, and gets stuck at “Taking a little while”. If I load an agent from a named workspace, it loads successfully.

Steps to Reproduce

1.Start cursor IDE.
2. Open Agents window
3. from the sidebar, open one of the previous agents from a list under home section

Expected Behavior

agent/chat should load and allow me to continue the chat.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

This is a known issue with the Glass layout (Agents Window) in the 3.1.x builds. The fix has been merged and will be included in a future stable update.

In the meantime, you can switch to the Editor layout as a workaround: open Ctrl+Shift+P, search for Toggle Editor Layout, and select it. This should let you access your chats normally.

You can also try reloading the window a couple of times (Ctrl+Shift+P > Reload Window) — in some cases this unsticks the panel.
