Our team lets Cursor agents write most PRs now, and review became the bottleneck. The bugs mostly got caught; the slop didn’t: helpers rewritten instead of reused, dead branches, code that ignores the repo’s own patterns.
So we built Rolt, a GitHub App that reviews each PR against the whole codebase and comments like a staff engineer: bug first, slop second, with the line and the fix. Bugs-only, balanced or thorough modes.
Pay per review from $1, no seats up to 5 authors, 10 free credits. I’m one of the builders; I’d love to hear where it’s wrong or noisy. https://www.rolt.ai
a reviewer like this is useful for catching issues in the diff. the other question is how that change behaves in the system it’s going into. that’s where production context helps, especially when the code touches parts of the system that have caused problems before.
Valid. What Rolt actually does, and what it doesn’t:
It does read each change against the whole repository, not just the diff, along with its git history and the team’s own guidelines.
It does learn from how the team reacts to its comments over time.
It doesn’t read production signals yet: errors, incidents, logs or traces. That would be one of the next steps to broaden the knowledge and know what the weak areas of the repo are and handle them more delicately.
Would love for you to give it a time when you get time
