Rule doesn't "auto apply" on new files

I expect when “auto attached” to apply to newly created files by the agent. At least right now, this is the most important time to apply a rule… I want the agent to read a doc before starting to write something from scratch, to increase the odds they’ll build in a standard way.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Explain how to reproduce the bug (if known)

  1. Create a rule for an extension, say, “*.ts”
  2. Tell the agent to say something like “I READ THE TYPESCRIPT RULE” in that rule
  3. Tell the agent to create a file of that extension type
  4. Expected: agent follows the instruction. Actual: they don’t.

:camera: Attach screenshots or recordings (e.g., .jpg, .png, .mp4).
In this example, I set up a rule for typescript files, but the agent never sees the rule, apparently.

For good measure, I thanked the agent on the offchance the rule would trigger on the next prompt, but no dice.

No, but it stops me from using the “Auto apply” type of rules. For now, I’m just using an “Always” rule which seems less efficient but it’s more effective.
