Plus 1 for this, as this workaround for managing multiple customer projects (e.g. customer’s customers) and multiple personal projects requires either.
A shortcut for every project folder
Or a shortcut to the CustomerN parent folder (and once logged into Cursor IDE, then browse to the specific application folder under the parent.
Examples:
Personal (need to use personal Cursor account for billing)
/PersonalProjects/Project1
/PersonalProjects/Project2
/PersonalProjects/Project3
Customer1 (need to use Customer 1’s Cursor account for billing)
/Customer1/Project1
/Customer1/Project2
/Customer1/Project3
Customer2 (need to use Customer 2’s Cursor account for billing)
/Customer2/Project1
/Customer2/Project2
/Customer2/Project3
I use Cursor for my company assignments and my personal projects. I need a way to switch between accounts so I don’t get accused of “using company resources”.
Can I add, maybe a simple way to achieve this for Cursor is let us use an account per workspace! I usually have multiple cursor windows open per workspace, so work workspace, side projects workspace. I know there is the other workaround, but if youre going to implement this, maybe let us control account per workspace.
I think the current ways that exist don’t work well with mcp authentications. Like if I try to auth through an MCP it would work with only the main profile.
Any body figured out something for this case? Need help
