The agent “Search” tool never finds any result in my project, however it is fully indexed.
It’s been happening for quite a long time now, not limited to current version.
Steps to Reproduce
Create an Unreal Engine 5 project
Setup a code-workspace with your project as the main folder and the engine as secondary folder
Ignore unnecessary files for correct indexation
Run any prompt that may require the agent to search for things in the codebase
Notice the “no results”
Expected Behavior
Search results display actual results available in the codebase
Does this also happen in the new chat? I just checked, and the codebase search is working correctly for me. Also, could you share the request ID? For this, you need to disable privacy mode if it’s enabled, then reproduce the issue when it happens again and copy the ID.
Here is a sample request ID showcasing the issue, in a fresh chat : 840181c0-45ae-4fcc-b1ee-e514d5677b86
I get that I may be an isolated case because the issue would be quite documented if I wasn’t, it is a major bug. But I provided how and when it happens to me
Hey, thanks for the report. Could you also let me know which model you are using and which version of Cursor you are using? Could you also share the request ID? First, you’ll need to disable privacy mode.
