Here’s an extension for Cursor that allows you to import and share rules across projects for yourself or your team https://open-vsx.org/extension/zackiles/cursor-workbench. You can find it today in the extensions tab of Cursor if you search for “Cursor Workbench”
- No need to commit rule files to your project, or symlink rules in. You can add a remote registry for rules (a simple private or public github repo)
- Comes with a custom rule-file editor that overrides Cursor’s that allows a few extra features like adding additional meta-data and usage notes, versioning and updating the remote rule from the editor and more.
We’re currently using this in my workplace, and just launched it internally. We plan to add more functionality soon. It’s still in beta - feedback and contributions appreciated!
