Yes, I understand the notepads are still in beta, but it greatly helps me.
They give me the ability to not only have “temporary” documents but also give me the ability to have a set of instructions for repetitive tasks.
For instance, I use it to instruct people on how to get the git diff, make a summary of the changes, and use git hub CLI to open a PR.
Notepads are amazing.
But it would be nice if some notepads could be present in every project I open. Some notepads I use regardless of the project I’m in.
In a similar vein, having global rules (like project rules where you can specify which file patterns it should apply to) would be great! Having global notepads / global modular rules would be amazing.
Exactly I use notepad to save multiple prompts and keep selecting between them depending on the. Problem is absurd and MT good but when I start another project I have to create several notpads with new prompts if it were global I wouldn’t need it
Yes! I came here looking for this exact feature. Even .cursorrules I need to migrate from project to project. Would love a feature that has global rules for all projects, since so many of my projects tend to resemble a similar workflow.
