This is a known bug. The “Move Editor into Next Group” command (and other editor group shortcuts) can stop working due to how focus is tracked when Chat is used as an editor tab.
The team is aware and working on a fix. You can follow this thread for updates, where other users have confirmed the same issue: Keyboard shortcut does not work since upgrading to 3.0.13
Also — if you’re on Linux, note that Ctrl+Alt+Arrow is often captured by the desktop environment for workspace switching, which could also prevent it from reaching Cursor. You can check by trying the command from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P > “Move Editor into Next Group”) to see if the command itself works.
