Describe the request
When I click Help → Check for Updates, the menu item changes to “Download” but there is no way to see how much has been downloaded or how long it will take. The download seems to run in the background with no progress bar or percentage.
It would be very helpful if Cursor could show:
A progress bar or percentage (e.g. in the status bar or a small popup)
Or at least a clear “Downloading update…” state so we know it’s still in progress
Without this, it’s unclear whether the update is stuck or just slow, and some users might close Cursor during the download by mistake.
