Slack Bot linking issues

Hi Cursor Support,

We’re currently trying to integrate Cursor with Slack for our team.

We’ve already completed the integration setup, but it seems that only the person who originally configured the integration is able to use @cursor successfully. For all other team members, Slack shows the following message:

“Hey, @XXXXXXXXX.
You can launch Cursor agents directly from Slack. Click the Link Account button above to get started.”

Our goal is to have Cursor available team-wide without requiring each individual user to manually link their own account. Ideally:

  • Team members should be able to use @cursor immediately within Slack

  • Authentication and billing should be handled at the team/workspace level

  • No additional per-user account linking should be necessary

Could you clarify whether this setup is supported, and if so, what configuration steps are required?

Thanks!

Each team member does need to individually link their Cursor account to Slack. This is how the integration currently works - when someone mentions @cursor, the agent runs on behalf of that specific user (using their GitHub credentials, billing identity, and privacy settings), so the one-time account link is required.

What each team member needs to do:

  1. Mention @cursor in any Slack channel (or click the Link Account button when prompted)

  2. They’ll be redirected to sign in to their Cursor account

  3. After that one-time setup, @cursor works for them going forward
