Spending Limit Keeps Resetting to $50 with Usage-Based Pricing

I am using the Cursor Pro Plan with usage-based pricing enabled and had set my spending limit to $7 last month. I assumed it would remain the same this month, but when I checked today, I noticed that the spending limit had changed to $50.

After resetting it to $7 and saving, I toggled the usage-based pricing on and off, only to find that the limit reverted to $50 again. I occasionally switch usage-based pricing on and off throughout the month, so I would like my saved spending limit to remain unchanged.

Has the minimum limit been set to $50?

Hey, yes, this number is set by default. You need to change it and press the save button each time. If you periodically turn it on and off, it always reverts to the default value. Try setting it to the minimum value and just change it as needed.

Thank you for your reply. I understand the intent behind this system. However, I find it a bit confusing, and I’m not sure if it’s the best approach. Cursor as a tool is very clear and easy to use, so I believe the payment process should be just as transparent.

Also, when making changes related to payments, it would be great if you could send email notifications and remind users to check for updates. In my case, I almost ended up paying an extra $50 by mistake!
