Hi there, ever since a few weeks ago the Agent feature has been giving me paragraphs and paragraphs of it’s thoughts after every prompt I make, before finally implementing the solution maybe 30 seconds later.
Before this, it would almost think apply the changes instantly.
How can I fix this? Is there a setting, or is it a specific model that does this?

Simply ask the model to keep its thoughts hidden.

Hi thanks for your reply but unfortunately it wasn’t that simple. I added a rule telling the model to stop sharing it’s thoughts, but it still does.
Err, try to tell it in the chat itself something like “Keep all your thoughts and analyzing to yourself and hidden don’t display them in the chat” - edit: although I don’t use google or grok normally so may be completely different.
I am using gemini-2.5-pro
This model always thinks a lot.
use claude 4 sonnet for quick fixes and gemini for complex tasks
