Suggestion: Implement a Status Page for Cursor AI

I’d like to propose the implementation of a status page for Cursor AI. This would greatly improve the user experience when encountering issues with the IDE.

Currently, when the IDE experiences problems, it’s challenging to determine the root cause. The issue could stem from:

  1. Local connectivity problems
  2. Cursor’s request processing
  3. Third-party service disruptions

Instead of users needing to visit and wade through the forum to check for known outages or report issues, a dedicated status page would provide immediate clarity on the current state of Cursor’s services.

For example, I am encountering a situation now where:

  • Composer was stuck on “generating” for several minutes
  • Anthropic reported an outage (now resolved)… but not working for me
  • Switching to GPT-0 Mini didn’t resolve the issue

This left me uncertain whether the problem was on Cursor’s end or elsewhere.

A status page would:

  • Reduce redundant support tickets
  • Keep users informed about known issues
  • Provide transparency on Cursor’s awareness of problems

This addition would significantly enhance user experience and streamline troubleshooting processes for both users and the Cursor team.

What are your thoughts on implementing such a feature?
