Thank you for your suggestion! We receive hundreds of ‘simple’ feature requests daily. To keep Cursor maintainable for everyone, we focus on adding features that benefit the majority of users. Sometimes, features may also be removed if similar functionality is available through other options.
I understand how a slower tab or delay could be useful. If enough users vote for it, we’ll definitely prioritize this feature. In the meantime, you can:
- Set a keyboard shortcut in Settings to toggle Cursor Tab on or off.
- Disable Cursor Tab for certain file types using the options in the bottom bar.
