Ok. When Agent calls AI-interaction → this UI will appear → When I enter message and send → AI-interaction will respond to Agent message that I entered in that UI → According to user rules: Agent sees “Continue chat = true” → Agent automatically calls AI-interaction at the end of the response for me to send the next message.

Now, when Agent calls AI-interaction → I click “Run tool” button → If within 60 seconds AI-interaction does not respond → {“error”: “MCP error 32001: Request timed out”}

I apologize for the 2 minute timeout, I reported the wrong error because I did not really count the seconds, actually it timed out after about 60 seconds.

I see, ok team is already looking into timeout.

Would elicitation MCP not solve your issue as you do not need a custom UI as that would be provided by the IDE.

I have my reasons for using AI-interaction instead of using the main chat channel in the IDE. Because I know how to use AI-interaction, I am not worried about Cursor changing the price for the new Pro package, I even support Cursor because this helps Cursor to develop more strongly thanks to better income. This tool is a must for me.

Can you please let me know if the Cursor team approves my request to increase the timeout? How many seconds will it be increased to? @condor

Yes, I have the same problem. That’s why I’m back to 1.4.6. It’s annoying. I hope this wasn’t intentional on the part of the Cursor team and will be fixed in 1.5.

Looks like they increased the timeout, I haven’t tested how many minutes it is but you can try it.
