It is imperative that Cursor adds at least some temporary memory functionality akin to Windsurf’s. Users shouldn’t be juggling MCPs and following how to guides to implement memory.
There is a thread by @ichoosetoaccept where he outlines “intelligent and persistent” memory.
I’m saying that this should be the goal, but first, we should at least have rudimentary automatic (emphasis on that) and manual memory like the competitor.
There are many things that keep me using Cursor, but the temptation of not having to play with MCPs anymore is extremely appealing.
So, why not at least start with the beta of memory?
Additional feature request if it isn’t already there:
Preserve / turn off usage of fast tokens and default to slow until turned off.
