Terminal becomes permanently frozen after exiting MCP list view with Escape

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

Terminal becomes permanently frozen after exiting MCP list view with Escape. After pressing Escape, the terminal becomes completely frozen. No keyboard input is accepted – cannot type, execute commands, or interact with the terminal in any way. The terminal is effectively dead. Unable to type and paste anything. Can’t escape or ctrl C out. Even if I /resume back into that agent session it’s still frozen.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Cursor CLI (Agent mode in the command line terminal interface).
  2. Load the agent.
  3. Run the command MCP list.
  4. Observe the list of MCPs displayed.
  5. Press Escape to exit the MCP list view and return to the terminal.
  6. Attempt to continue using the terminal session (it will be frozen)

Expected Behavior

After pressing Escape, the terminal should return to its normal interactive state where the user can type commands and continue working.
