Terminal closing when opening

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The cursor will automatically close when I try and open it.

Steps to Reproduce

This happens whenever I accidentally close out of a terminal and try and reopen it. To fix it, I have found a semi-reliable method which involves opening vscode → sshing → closing vscode → trying cursor again. Quitting and reconnecting does not work. Restarting sometimes does not even work.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Could you check your shell config (bashrc/zshrc/etc?) and make sure it’s not crashing? If that doesn’t work, could you reinstall Cursor?

ive tried both of those, reinstalling sometimes temporarily fixes the issue but comes back
