Terminal disappears on file review

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Whenever I click on a file to review the changes made by the agent window, it hides my terminal and I have to open a new terminal, close the new terminal tab, and re-navigate back to my old terminal tab. This may be a small bug but it is horrible for my workflow and wastes almost as much time as the composer-1 model saves.

Steps to Reproduce

Have the agent make changes, click on the any files to review either in the review chat popup, or the file changes dropdown.

Expected Behavior

I should be able to review without my terminals being banished from reality every time I want to review a file.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known UI layout issue in v2.0.34 that affected several users.

Please update to v2.0.40, it should fix the disappearing terminal. You can update via the menu or download the latest build.

If the issue persists after updating to v2.0.40, let me know and I’ll pass it to the team.
