Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

TERMINAL IS NOT ENGAGED, like some earlier versions

Steps to Reproduce

Agent tries to run commands and can’t

Expected Behavior

That it works properly and I don’t have to come here and fill out issues every single day.

Operating System

Linux

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

At least on AppImage

Hey, thanks for the report. Yes, this looks like a regression in v1.7.44, we’ve seen similar terminal issues.

Try first:

  1. Enable the “Legacy Terminal Tool” in Settings
  2. Restart Cursor
  3. Check if the agent can execute commands in the terminal

This workaround has helped several users on recent versions.

To diagnose further, please share:

  • Which shell on Linux bash/zsh/fish?
  • Are you working locally, over SSH, or in a container?
  • Did enabling the Legacy Terminal Tool help?
