Describe the Bug
Running short-lived terminal commands as the agent may hang with, “Starting terminal”.
Steps to Reproduce
Provide agent with instructions that lead it to issue terminal commands that you would expect to run quickly, such as renaming (e.g. mv path/to/file path/to/newfile).
Expected Behaviour
Terminal starts and execution completes in a timely fashion.

Additional Infomation
I’ve attempted to rule out system load by closing all other applications other than cursor, running only one terminal and clearing my zsh* related shell profiles. I’m using zsh. Only one terminal is open to run my node.js app with ‘npm run dev’. I can manually work around the issue very easily as shown in the screenshot. I use claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022 exclusively.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue
