Hey, thanks for the report and screenshots - the discrepancy between the docs page listing “Ask questions” and the model actually not having it is a fair point.

This is a known issue - the Composer model (both 1.5 and now 2) doesn’t properly use the AskQuestion tool in Agent/Auto mode. It was reported before with composer-1.5 as well: AskQuestion tool does not work using composer-1.5 but does work with other models.

The team is aware of this. No ETA yet, but your report helps with prioritization.

In the meantime, two workarounds:

  • Use Plan mode with Composer 2 - AskQuestion should work there
  • Switch to a third-party model (e.g. Claude or GPT) in Agent mode - they handle this tool correctly

Could you also grab a Request ID from one of the failed attempts? Chat context menu (top right) > Copy Request ID. That’ll help the team investigate.
