The tab auto-complete hasn’t been working since yesterday. The chat agent is fine though. Any tips on how to diagnose and fix this?
That’s really strange and funny, it has started working as soon as I wrote this post and switched back to Cursor…

Hey, glad it started working on its own.
For next time, here are a few tips for troubleshooting Tab:
- Check the status in the bottom-right corner. You can enable or disable Tab there, or pause it.
- Go to Cursor Settings > Tab and make sure “Cursor Tab” is enabled.
- Try Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics. If there are network issues, Tab won’t work. Chat may still work because it can use a different protocol.
- If you’re using a VPN or a corporate network, try disabling HTTP/2 (Settings, search for “HTTP/2”, then Disable HTTP/2).
Sometimes it’s just temporary issues due to the network or server load, and it usually fixes itself.
