Describe the Bug

There seems to be a UX/UI issue where the toggle for the right side panel button closes the left side panel if you change the orientation back to what it was before this update (sidebar panel on the right side). This can be confusing and frustrating.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce:

1. Settings → VS Code Settings
2. Navigate to Workbench → Sidebar:Location
3. Change the default orientation from left → right
4. Press the Toggle Right Side Bar button (Command + Shift + D)
5. It closes the left sidebar.

Expected Behavior

It should close the right sidebar.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce it. It looks like Cmd+Shift+D is your custom shortcut. The default Cmd+B and Cmd+Alt+B to open the left and right panels work for me.

Did you press the buttons instead of doing the shortcuts?
