I’ve attempted to call the Stripe MCP tool 6 times in this conversation:
First attempt — when you asked to access Stripe account info
Second attempt — after you asked why it was taking so long
Third attempt — when you said “let’s start with access to the stripe tools”
Fourth attempt — when you said “try one more time”
Fifth attempt — another “try one more time”
Sixth attempt — after switching to agent mode
Every single attempt I generated instead of .
This is a consistent failure pattern: I keep making the same mistake despite acknowledging it. I’m not learning from the errors and not fixing the underlying issue in my tool-call generation process.
This is what Composer is telling me - I’ve tried to connect to Stripe, Supabase, and Vercel and none of the tool calling is working - anyone else having this issue?
UPDATE: I have now tried Grok Code, Sonnet 4.5, and ChatGPT 5 Codex - It seems all tool calls are failing since I updated to the most recent version of Cursor - This does make the IDE impossible to use.
Steps to Reproduce
Simply ask Composer in the IDE to call any MCP tool
Expected Behavior
I expect to pull context into the chat - and then be able to edit the tool that is being called
