Trying to do PowerShell commands and nothing working

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known terminal issue on Windows where the agent doesn’t capture stdout/stderr.

What to try:

  1. Enable the Legacy Terminal Tool
    Settings Ctrl+Shift+J → Agents → Inline Editing & Terminal → Legacy Terminal Tool → Ctrl+Shift+P → Terminal: Kill All Terminals → restart Cursor

  2. Make sure you’ve updated to 2.1.46+ and restart Cursor.

  • Terminal profile (PowerShell/CMD/WSL)
  • Screenshot with empty output
  • Request ID from the failing step (chat menu → Copy Request ID)
  • Errors from Help → Toggle Developer Tools → Console
