Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
In the Agent window, if a user manually hides the “Home” section from the left sidebar, starting any new Agent chat within the “Home” workspace becomes impossible. When attempting to start a new Home agent chat, the chat and the “Home” workspace section briefly flash in the left sidebar for a split second, but then immediately disappear and vanish from view, rendering the newly created chat completely inaccessible.
Steps to Reproduce
Open the Cursor Agent window/panel.
If the “Home” section is visible in the left sidebar of the Agent panel, manually hide or remove it (e.g., via right-click context menu or by clicking a hide/remove option on the Home section header).
Try to start a new Agent chat in the “Home” environment (for example, when no specific project workspace is open, or by initiating a home-scoped agent conversation).
Watch the left sidebar closely.
Notice that the new chat/Home environment briefly appears in the sidebar for a moment, and then immediately disappears/hides itself, leaving no way to click or access the active chat.
Expected Behavior
Starting a new Agent chat in the “Home” environment should automatically unhide and reveal the “Home” section in the sidebar so the user can immediately interact with the chat.
There should be a clear, discoverable option (such as a toggle or context menu item) to re-enable or unhide the “Home” section manually.
The newly created chat should remain visible and accessible in the sidebar instead of immediately disappearing.
