Hey, thanks for the report. Based on the logs, this looks similar to issues that were fixed by resetting settings.

Try the following:

  1. Quit Cursor completely

I can see the crash is still happening on 2.2.43 with the same stack trace. A couple quick questions:

  1. Did you try resetting settings (for example mv Cursor CursorBackup)? If yes, does it still crash after that?
  2. Have you tried launching with --disable-gpu?

If resetting settings didn’t help, please try a clean reinstall:

  1. Quit Cursor
  2. Rename or delete ~/Library/Application Support/Cursor (for example to CursorBackup)
  3. Delete ~/Library/Caches/com.todesktop.230313mzl4w4u92
  4. Open Cursor again

When you reinstalled Cursor and deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Cursor, did you re-import your extensions afterward? If so, that could have brought back the same broken configuration.

Next, please try starting Cursor with a fully isolated temporary profile. This will help confirm whether the crash is caused by your settings/extensions or something system-level:

cursor --user-data-dir="$HOME/CursorData/temp-profile"

This will launch Cursor like a fresh install, with no extensions, settings, or cache. If it starts normally, the issue is likely in your profile and we can narrow it down from there.

Also, please confirm:

  • Did you install any new apps or system updates right before Cursor stopped launching?
  • Did Cursor work on this machine before, or is this the first install?

I upgraded my macOS to Tahoe 26.2 and reinstalled Cursor, and it’s now working fine.
