Hello Cursor team,
I’d like to suggest an important improvement: the ability to install updates without having to restart Cursor.
Currently, updates are released quite frequently, and I often work with 4 or 5 instances open. Whenever an update comes out, I have to close everything, including terminals, and restart all tabs (sometimes 6 or more).
While it’s great to always stay up to date, this recurring need to restart multiple windows significantly disrupts the workflow. It would be extremely helpful if at least some updates — especially those that don’t require a critical restart — could be applied seamlessly without interrupting usage.
