As I tried to use Claude Sonnet 4, Cursor prompts that I cannot in slow requests mode due to traffic, does it mean that I can use it when my fast request renewed?
If this is the case ,can we choose when to use fast requests (before the fast requests quota being fully consumed) and when to use slow requests? maybe some kind of sub menu that we can choose, so only when we need to tackle more complex problems we will use our fast reqeust quota, and normally we will just leave it at slow requests mode?
This is not possible because slow requests are the same as fast ones, the only difference is that after you finish yours you are put in a waiting queue in order to do it with It is a non-trivial way of using the tool.
Yes once your next month billing starts you will be able to use fasts requests.
Alternatively if you prefer not to wait, you can always enable Usage based billing to access the models at same per request cost as in Pro package.
The Cursor team is reviewing the slow requests queue as they announced in separate post, but in general your requests get queued by as much as you use them, so everyone gets the same treatment.
You can always use the free models as they dont cost fast requests (expand list on following page). They are usually good for quick questions, simple changes etc.
